available as CD	Epitomising The Garage Punk Sound Of The Medway Delta The Prisoners epitomise the garage punk sound of the Medway Delta. they started out as a three-piece in 1980 before adding James Taylor (later of JTQ) on organ in 1982. they soon gained a strong following, influencing the likes of Tim Burgess of the Charlatans and Radio One DJ Steve Lamacq. this re-issue of their debut album is remastered for the first time from original analogue tapes and is joined by six additional tracks. These include a rare Belgium radio show performance of ‘Pretend’, the previously unheard album out-take ‘Baby Come Alive’ and a live version of their debut single ‘There’s A Time’. these are joined by the band’s first demo session which has three unrecorded songs including early live favourite ‘Lilac Reflections’. the booklet includes unseen photographs and an interview with the band. 01.
